- Achieved record production of metal and silver

- Commissioned India’s first Fumer facility, new alloy plant, and Rajpura Dariba Mill
- Incorporated Hindmetal Exploration Services Private Limited
2020

- Became the 6th largest primary silver producer globally and the fastest growing silver company
2018
- Full transition of Rampura Agucha from open cast to underground
- HZL became the only private Indian company on the London Bullion Market Association list
2016
- Declared a special dividend of 1200% — the largest in India’s private sector at the time

- Commercial production started at Rampura Agucha UG Mine and Kayad Mine
2012
- Pantnagar Silver Refinery commissioned with 500 MT annual capacity
2010
- Rajpura Dariba Hydro-III zinc smelter commissioned with 0.2 million MTPA capacity
2009
- HZL became the 2nd largest integrated zinc producer globally
2007
- Sindesar Khurd Mine commissioned with 0.3 million MTPA capacity
- Hydro II smelter commissioned
2005
- Hydro I smelter commissioned

2002
- Vedanta Group (then Sterlite) acquired 26% equity stake in HZL — a  turning point in our growth story

- Chanderiya Smelter inaugurated
