Supporting rural women to thrive
Sakhi works to strengthen women economically and socially through sustainable grassroots institutions. By fostering self-help groups, federations, and microenterprises, the programme enables women to achieve financial independence, leadership opportunities, and a stronger voice in their communities.

Outreach outcomes at a glance
- Self-help groups & federations: 203 village organisations and seven federations strengthened, supporting livelihoods and financial inclusion.
- Leadership development: 300+ committees and managers led grassroots initiatives; financial and digital literacy training provided to thousands of women.
- Credit linkages: 364 new SHGs connected with banks, enhancing financial independence.
Uthori Awareness programme: 91,000 individuals reached on gender equity, education, and social issues.
Kishori Balika Samuh: 2,205 adolescent girls engaged in development, education, and social initiatives. - Women-led enterprises: 12 microenterprises, including brands like Upaya (apparel), Daichi (edibles), and Gauam (dairy), driving entrepreneurship.
- Partnerships: Collaboration with India Post Payments Bank ensures financial inclusion for unbanked communities.
